Currents is dedicated to fostering a responsible and transparent scholarly publishing environment. The journal aligns its policies and practices with internationally recognized ethical standards, particularly those outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
In cases of ethical violations, the Editors will take appropriate action to address and rectify the issue. This may include issuing a correction, clarification, or retraction of the article when warranted. Additionally, the editorial team will enforce measures to prevent and discourage future instances of research misconduct.
Currents is the official
multidisciplinary research journal of the Zamboanga State College of Marine
Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST). It is an open-access publication released biannually—in the middle and at the end of each year—and
serves as a platform for disseminating research across a wide range of academic
and professional fields. The journal accepts submissions year-round and does not charge any publication fees.
As a biannual,
peer-reviewed, and interdisciplinary journal, Currents welcomes research articles in the fields of arts and
humanities, linguistics and applied linguistics, education, fisheries and
aquaculture, marine sciences, food science and technology, hospitality and
tourism, social sciences, post-harvest technology, marine transportation,
marine engineering, and other related disciplines.
